It took me several years of hard work to create the Octopus Collection and I am finally able to share it as a whole project in 8 paintings.
Each octopus has its own special personality, and they’ve inspired a truly magical artistic journey.
The Master octopus serves as a guiding force through the past, it profoundly inspired the Octopus Collection from its inception. His instilled in me a determination to endure and thrive within the struggle I was going through, fostering my curiosity about the cephalopods I discovered these wonderful creatures with 3 hearts and nine brains. I received a lesson of knowledge and wisdom while creating this piece. The Master taught me how to dive deep into my imagination and explore all the ocean hues of my soul.

Lady Octo embodies a harmonious balance of grace and elegance. The subtle pink undertones led me to join her delicate rhythmic dance of beautifully unfolding tentacles that goes beyond the aesthetic and introduced me new tools to my introspective journey. Gratitude enables me to refine my identity as an artist.

The Fire is a vibrant, expressive and emotional juvenile female octopus. Her colors are declaring her determined existence building excitement. Her intentions are not harmful and in this way she showed me a dynamic force to express potential and trust the process.

The King, a magnificent golden male octopus. His royal aura is both disarming and demanding of respect with his regal tentacles. While his eyes are unforgiving towards chance encounters, he may share his wisdom with those who he deems worthy. I bowed before his gaze, recognizing the King of the Octopuses.

The Alien brings a fresh perspective to the future. The lunar underwater landscape challenges us to explore and uncover its secrets. He cautiously ventures into uncharted territories and few fishes introduce the promise of a better world. I’ve learned to see the future as a tool to design projects, trusting the journey to envision my artwork.

The Joker embodies the power of peace, demonstrating how an open mind and an open heart are unbeatable with a genuine smile. Octopuses are remarkably adaptable and have shown me how solitude is an effective way to recover from conflicts. This insight resonates deeply with the daily struggles we all face.

The Queen is stunning, worthy of a mate and full of hopes. Her soft cloak expresses confidence and determination in the darkest corners. Resting peacefully
on the rock, she patiently anticipate the arrival of a male to fertilize her new octopus generation. It’s so revealing how such creatures know best where to start
the process. Just watch the magic unfold!

The Mother octopus is for the continuation of the species. Although she feasts on her partner afterward, the larvae develop and she will die soon after their birth. It’s her life cycle and gave me such an intense appreciation to the octopus‘s existence, highlighting the significance of all natural life on Earth and how grateful to its diversity we should all be respecting and supporting the environment where it belongs.

Beyond The Reef is the BVI’s leading marine environmental NPO. Their work is truly remarkable, and I’m honored to support them by donating a portion of the proceeds to their ocean programs as a contribution to initiate an exciting octopus life research n the BVI.
I’m Federica Feliziani, I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into my work of art, and I’m happy to share it with you. I love painting figurative art in acrylic or oil, and I see the world through a beautiful palette of colors. My inspiration comes from nature itself - I love capturing landscapes, flora and fauna. Ocean is the most resourceful, it plays such a crucial role in our lives, we’re just tiny humans on this incredible planet we all share. Humans are also in my paintings, portraits are a must and I like to reproduce the human figure. Take a moment to enjoy my work, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any thoughts or ideas to share. I’d love to hear from you!
